Hello and welcome to the wonderful world of dance with FLORIDA DANCE MASTERS!

Our organization is dedicated to promoting excellent dance education for instructors as well as aspiring students. FDM meets three times each season, July through June, to offer opportunities for teacher training, convention classes, title and group competitions, student performances, and student scholarships.

     FLORIDA DANCE MASTERS' convention/workshops are divided into two teacher/student conventions and a teachers-only continuing education seminar. The students’ age levels are ages 6 through professional level.

     FLORIDA DANCE MASTERS offers solo title competitions to its members ONLY. Members' students may compete in their age division to hold a solo title.

     FLORIDA DANCE MASTERS, INC. provides thousands of dollars each year to members’ students through its annual Scholarship Audition Program. Edith and Bill Royal, the founders of this scholarship program, created it to give young and talented dancers the opportunity to experience the dance audition process which is so necessary to learn when pursuing a dance career. This program is a one-of-a-kind. There is no other program like it anywhere in the United States.

     MAIN ATTRACTION is Florida Dance Masters' statewide performing ensemble. The group consists of FDM's members' students and meets approximately once each month, September through April, to learn choreography and take classes. They perform as a group three times per year or more.
